The Auburn football team is gearing up for a return to their home stadium this weekend in a game that is key to securing bowl eligibility for the Tigers. With three wins still needed and five matchups left on the schedule, it’s crunch time for Auburn.

The Tigers finally found some offensive success in their game on the road versus the Ole Miss Rebels, and they’ll have to do it again this weekend if they want to beat the Razorbacks. While much of the weight rests on quarterback Robby Ashford’s shoulders, others will need to step up, as well.

Tank Bigsby was a major factor in the offensive success, and is the first player that will be key to a win this weekend. Auburn football has long been known for its powerful running backs, and Bigsby will need to have at least as many carries as he did in Oxford this Saturday.

The next player that will be key to the Tigers pulling off a win is offensive lineman Jeremiah Wright. After getting his first start in the Ole Miss game, Wright pulled in the best run blocking grade, and wa

s clearly a force in a position group that has struggled mightily all season. If Tank Bigsby is going to find success, the offensive line will absolutely have to block, and Wright’s ability was a breath of fresh air.

While the run game will be key for Auburn football this weekend, the Tigers need receivers to step up and make big plays, too. Arkansas does not have a strong pass defense, so targeting playmaking receivers will obviously be a part of this weekend’s gameplan. Ja’Varrius Johnson currently leads the WRs with 335 yards and one touchdown, and could be a big help in moving the chains down the field for the Tigers.

On the road to a bowl game, this matchup is big for head coach Bryan Harsin and the Tigers. Hopefully, being back on the Plains will help push the team to another victory.
