Auburn football fans saw Deion Sanders, one of the flashier names in the potential Tigers head coaching search that could commence once an athletic director is named, tweet ‘I Believe’ and understood the assignment.

In an effort to show ‘Prime Time’ just how passionate the Plains is about football and how wanted he is by a large majority of the fanbase, Tiger fans finished his sentence with excerpts from the Auburn Creed.

Auburn football has been called a better fit for Sanders than Georgia Tech by 247Sports despite the former Falcons and Braves star’s connection to the city of Atlanta, but he’s been trying to prove Alabama State’s Eddie Robinson Jr. wrong about his commitment to the SWAC conference and could delay a move for optics.

Regardless of Sanders’ intentions, Tiger fans took to Twitter to share the Auburn Creed with a man they hope will be coaching their football team in 2023 and beyond:

Auburn football target Deion Sanders has biggest game in Jackson State history on October 29

When Deion Sanders’ Tigers host Southern on October 29, it will be after Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee, Desmond Howard, and David Pollack host the first ever ESPN College Gameday hosted on Jackson State’s campus.

Sanders’ “I Believe” quote was best explained by his reaction to College Gameday making way to Jackson, Mississippi for the first time. “I expect stuff like this,” said ‘Prime Time.’ “Why not us? You know lots of people wear that shirt that says: ‘Why not us.’ But they don’t believe what’s on the shirt half the time. You better believe it. Don’t just wear it. Believe it.”

While Sanders’ tweet wasn’t a shoutout to AU, it was humorous seeing Auburn football fans take it that way.
