It’s flight season in college football given the number of available head coaching positions — including the Auburn football HC role — and the movements of high-profile candidates are the most noteworthy news bytes people want to consume.

That said, when the “news” is deliberately misleading, it can do harm to the people whose flights are being lied about, not to mention tease fans that are anxiously waiting to hear something about their team’s coaching situation.

A notorious troll on Auburn football Twitter who even has a lie in their avatar, claiming to be a 247Sports reporter, shared a graphic with a flight from Jackson, Mississippi to Atlanta claiming ‘Prime Time’ was eventually going to touch down on the Plains to discuss the HC role with new athletic director John Cohen.

Sanders shut that down with a quote tweet proclaiming that he’d answer any questions about his whereabouts:

Auburn football coaching candidate Deion Sanders goes viral for speech to Jackson State players

In the aftermath of Migos star Takeoff’s death in Houston, top Auburn football coaching candidate Deion Sanders made a speech to his players warning them not to leave their hotel when the team visits Texas Southern on November 5.

“I’m just sick and tired of the consistency of people that are influential to you are leaving us consistently: That’s our rappers,” Sanders said in the now viral video. “Takeoff was murdered in a dice game in Houston, where we’re going. So that eliminates all of y’all leaving that hotel. Because it ain’t happening until I give you further notice.”

Sanders clearly cares about his players’ well-being, which is something many felt recently fired Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin didn’t do. With AU recruits being most excited if it was ‘Prime Time’ who was hired on the Plains, this is further evidence that Sanders is a top flight candidate for the Tigers head coaching job.
