The Auburn football team returns to Jordan-Hare Stadium this weekend to take on the Texas A&M Aggies under the lights on the Plains. The hype surrounding the game is rising to massive levels, what with it being Coach Cadillac’s first home game as interim head coach of the Tigers.

All fans are counting down the minutes until they get into the stadium this Saturday, but they aren’t the only ones eager to see the Tigers hit the home field. Also looking forward to returning are multiple recruits that will visit the program this weekend.

With the game day experience on the Plains being one of the strongest recruiting tools the Auburn football program has at the moment, a positive outcome in the game would be huge for the recruitment of both the 2023 and 2024 classes.

One of the recruits visiting this weekend is Lamar Seymore, a 3-star wide receiver that has already been committed to Pitt since July. The Miami native is ranked as the #117 wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2023 and the #111 recruit out of the Sunshine State.

Though Seymore remains firm in his pledge to the Panthers as of now, another Auburn target, 4-star edge Rueben Bain, is responsible for Seymore’s official visit to the Plains, per Auburn Live:

"According to Seymore, “Bain is the one that wanted me to come on an official visit up there. He just says he likes it there. He says I’ve got to experience it.”"

Coaches Ike Hilliard and Roc Bellantoni are the pair primarily recruiting Seymore, but the WR indicated he would want to see who the Tigers’ next head coach is before making any sort of decision. However, he didn’t shut down the idea and noted that Auburn football could “open his eyes.”

The Tigers currently have only 10 commits in the recruiting class of 2023, and will be hoping to add more on national early signing day in December.

This coach would make Bo Hughley reconsider AU flip. dark. Next
