We’ve reached the apex of Lane Kiffin to Auburn football rumors with Ole Miss losing the Egg Bowl to Mississippi State 24-22 to run their record to 8-4 on the season after a 7-0 start — and with that, hot takes are being fired off from every direction.
Kiffin has adamantly denied that he’s talked to the Tigers at this point in time, but many with Rebels ties are still worried about the prospect of the 47-year-old head coach ditching Oxford for the Plains.
One analyst, in particular, may have been tweeting while cutting loose on Thanksgiving day and fired off two tweets regarding the situation that are flat out bizarre:
The @AuburnFootball program with much help from overzealous donors who’s names everyone knows but so won’t bother repeating have turned it into a 3 Ring Circus. If Lane wants to be the RingMaster? Hey bud, go get ya some! Simple as that👍

I’ll clarify before saying goodnight. @Lane_Kiffin is a helluva Coach, but he’s made his approach public. I’m also aware of my position, but I’ll always say what I see. @OleMissFB may need to step up💰but Lane’s cavalier attitude cost his team tonight. Period end of story. Night

Auburn football fans roasted Tim Brando for bizarre take
Taking an aggressive stance against the AU brain trust with the same old meddling boosters trope will always invite an equal response back.
Thursday night was no different:
Tim, Lane could have EASILY shut it all down this week with a stroke of the pen. Yeah the aforementioned boosters have meddled and caused mess after mess. But this ain’t on Auburn. Now Auburn Twitter, at the most, stirred the pot, but again it could’ve easily been put to rest

Tim I like and respect you, but this is off base.

What about this search has AU done that makes it a circus, much less 3 rings.
Nada.
All the information is coming from OM.
All of it.

Unbelievable that a national sportscaster shows this much bias, all fueled by rumor and innuendo. No factual basis whatsoever……🙄

@TimBrando knows a lot about this topic since he’s the ring leader of the media clown show pic.twitter.com/HRNNBSklIm

The Auburn Twitter mob will never let a take like this go unaddressed.
