Auburn basketball takes on its highest caliber of competition in this young season on Sunday, November 27 when the Tigers host the Saint Louis Billikens at the Neville Arena for their seventh game of the season.
Undefeated through six games, AU just went to the Cancun Challenge and beat down Bradley while narrowly escaping Northwestern to come away with a hard-earned tournament victory during Feast Week.
Returning to the Plains for its second Atlantic-10 matchup of the season following a spread-covering opening night victory over George Mason, the Tigers take on Travis Ford’s Saint Louis squad — one that Bruce Pearl has spoken very highly of.
Auburn HC Bruce Pearl on Saint Louis: "This will be by far our biggest test in so many ways — physically, the talent level. This is a top five or six seed in the NCAA Tournament."

Auburn HC Bruce Pearl: "One of our best games of last year was at Saint Louis. Both teams played so hard. We were up eight at halftime and were down by as many as 13 with 8.5 to go. We had a furious comeback. One of our best wins of the year."

Auburn HC Bruce Pearl: "This Saint Louis team is better than they were the year before. They bring almost everybody back... and their starting 3 and 4 from last year are coming off the bench."

Can Auburn basketball fend off a Billikens team that has already knocked off Memphis and Providence this season? Or will Saint Louis pick up one of the biggest upsets of the 2022-23 season? Fly War Eagle has your odds and a prediction for the ESPN-televised matchup (All lines courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook):
Saint Louis vs. Auburn basketball Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
Auburn: -6.5 (-110)
Saint Louis: +6.5 (-110)
Total: 149.5 (Over -110/Under -110)
Saint Louis vs. Auburn Prediction
Saint Louis has a dynamite backcourt led by senior Yuri Collins, who is averaging a double-double with nearly 11 assists. Francis Okoro (no relation to Isaac) is also a near double-double threat daily (8.8 points, 9.5 rebounds per game). As Bruce Pearl pointed out, they’ve maintained many of their seniors, and look like a legitimate threat against anyone in the country.
This one could be a close one, and the Tigers could actually be in danger of dropping their first game of the season. Last year’s total between these two teams fell short of the current high over/under, but this year’s could blow past it.
Prediction: 149.5o (-110)
