Auburn football fans couldn’t believe their eyes upon seeing AL.com depict Hugh Freeze in the most hatefully shaming way — sharing a cartoon on its official Twitter page of a shadowy figure in a van asking where on the Plains he could find a ‘Christian escort service’ seemingly titled ‘Auburn could have had a Cadillac’…
"Auburn could have had a Cadillac," editorial cartoonist @CroweJam writes. "Instead, they bought a creepy white van. With lots of baggage."

For those keeping score at home, AL.com just implied Freeze is a literal predator while taking aim at stories of the former Briarcrest Christian School head football coach spanking an underage female with a paddle as well as his calling of escorts during his Ole Miss coaching tenure.
Just in case you were wondering if AL.com favors one of the Iron Bowl counterparts over the other…
Auburn football fans detest AL.com’s inflammatory Hugh Freeze cartoon
To many Auburn football fans, AL.com crossed the line with their depiction of Hugh Freeze. While some disagree with the sentiment that Carnell “Cadillac” Williams deserved the head coaching job, practically no one would endorse such slander towards Freeze.
Here was the angry Auburn Twitter mob that followed the inflammatory cartoon:
I don’t really care for the guy, but there’s a line, and this crossed it.

I’d sue the hell out of you for this if I’m him. Defamation at its finest.

The most biased outlet in the state. Embarrassment.

Coming from a Hugh detractor, the cartoon wasn't necessary. Implies a lot more than what he's actually done

Wasn’t a fan of the hire but you guys should be better than this

If Bryan Harsin thought he had it tough with the constant COVID-19 vaccine questions, he has to be thankful AL.com didn’t do anything close to this during his time as the head coach of Auburn football.
