Auburn football HC Hugh Freeze to appear on ESPN’s College Gameday
ESPN’s College Gameday show is set to air from Arlington, Texas, this weekend, and a guest representing Auburn football will be joining the show.
Newly hired head coach Hugh Freeze will join Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee, Desmond Howard, and Lee Corso this Saturday. Gameday is set to cover the Big 12 Championship for the first time since 2007 as #10 Kansas is set to face off against #3 TCU.
When Freeze was announced as the next head coach of Auburn football, there was pushback from a number of fans concerned with Freeze’s spotty past, but the Tigers’ HC addressed some of the issues in his introductory press conference, and asked that fans give him a chance to earn their trust and prove himself.
In his first week on the job, Freeze has already been very active as head coach. He and associate head coach Cadillac Williams mingled with over 100 high school coaches at a private event last night, and Freeze is expected to be on the road recruiting along with the rest of the staff this weekend.
Freeze, Williams, and several other staff members also made an appearance this week at MadHouse Athletic Training in Montgomery, where many top recruits in the state train, including top targets and package deal James Smith and Qua Russaw.
Though Hugh Freeze certainly has a lot of work to do when it comes to winning the confidence of the entire fanbase, he has gotten off to quite a hot start in his first week as the head coach of Auburn football.
