Though bringing on a new coaching staff was undoubtedly a step in the right direction for the Auburn football program, there is still a long way to go before the Tigers are back at the top of the pecking order in the SEC.

At the end of the day, Auburn needs to win games, beat rivals, and compete for championships, but it all starts with recruiting—something that new head coach Hugh Freeze has already taken very seriously. With the recruiting class of 2023 secured, it is now time to turn the attention to the future classes and begin laying the groundwork to compete with Georgia and Alabama for top prospects.

Jeremiah Beaman is a 4-star defensive lineman from Birmingham, AL, that has already caught the attention of both Alabama and Auburn football. Beaman is ranked as the #79 overall prospect and the #11 defensive lineman in the recruiting class of 2024 and is the #5 player out of the state of Alabama.

Beaman is certainly a wanted man, getting attention from top programs like Georgia, Clemson, and Oregon in addition to those in his home state. He visited the Plains a couple of times last fall, but is gearing up to head to Tuscaloosa for the Tide’s Junior Day on March 4, per 247 Sports. The defensive lineman grew up as an Alabama fan.

However, Beaman is also building strong relationships with several members of the Auburn football program, and plans to get back to the Plains for another visit in March, too. According to Cole Pinkston of Auburn Live, Beaman works out with current Auburn defensive lineman Jayson Jones, who has definitely been putting a good word in for the Tigers.

Jeremiah Beaman is in no rush to make a final decision this early, and plans to consider all his options before narrowing down the list and going from there. The DL will likely be a prospect that commits sometime in the late summer or fall.
