The mission continues for the Auburn football program: restock and reload the offensive line room for the next several classes. New head coach Hugh Freeze certainly made moves in his first few months on the Plains, loading up on high school, JUCO, and transfer linemen. However, there is still plenty of work to be done in the trenches.

Over the weekend, 3-star offensive tackle Malachi Toliver put the Tigers in his Top 10 group of schools, which he announced on Twitter. Auburn is going up against LSU, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, and Tennessee.

Toliver is ranked as the #617 overall prospect and the #49 offensive tackle in the recruiting class of 2024, and he is the #54 recruit out of the state of Georgia.

Toliver has mostly played the right tackle position in high school in Cartersville, but according to Christian Clemente of Auburn Undercover, the Tigers are recruiting Toliver as a swing lineman, meaning he could play tackle or guard. Toliver made it to campus in January, and left impressed with the Auburn football program:

"“Today I got to see more of the campus and the new facility, obviously,” Toliver said comparing it to his previous two visits for games. “I got to experience more and getting to know the coaches more. I got to meet the new head coach, Coach Freeze. He’s a good dude. This was different from the other ones because I got to see more. The games were also amazing too.”"

Toliver’s primary link with the Tigers has been his relationship with new offensive line coach Jake Thornton, who was recruiting Toliver while coaching at Ole Miss. The OT plans to return to the Plains this spring, possibly for the A-Day game in April.
