Who does Auburn play in the 2023 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament? Time, Date, How to Watch & Full Bracket
The men’s 2022-23 Auburn basketball program has seemingly punched its second straight ticket to March Madness after a crucial 79-70 victory over Tennessee at the Neville Arena on Saturday, March 5.
Following two straight losses to Kentucky — one that was notable in its lopsided nature — and Alabama, the Tigers’ tournament hopes were on the line against the Volunteers, barring a shocking run to the SEC Championship. AU only had two Quad 1 wins heading into that matchup and had won just three of their last 11 games dating back to a 16-point home loss to Texas A&M on January 27.
With the Tennessee win, Auburn basketball will hear their names called on Selection Sunday. But before then, who will they be guaranteed to play in the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament’s first round?

Arkansas vs Auburn Basketball Matchup
When these two teams played back on January 7 on the Plains, it was a wire-to-wire victory for the Tigers. Wendell Green Jr. had one of his finest outings of the 2022-23 season, amassing 19 points, five assists, three rebounds, and three steals, while Allen Flanigan had 18 points and eight rebounds against his home state’s flagship university. Johni Broome also pitched in a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double.
The key difference between the first matchup and the SEC Tournament rematch is the presence of Nick Smith Jr. for the Razorbacks. Smith came back in early February.
