Auburn football is in their second week of spring practice, and with the recruiting dead period over there are plenty of recruits making their way to the Plains to check things out.

Last week, 3-star offensive tackle Eagan Boyer arrived on campus from Cornelius, North Carolina for a second visit after previously making the trip for the Tigers’ Junior Day in January. The class of 2024 recruit is ranked as the #541 overall prospect and the #43 offensive tackle in his recruiting class, and is the #17 recruit out of the state of North Carolina.

Boyer has over 20 offers under his belt already from programs around the country including Clemson, Penn State, Tennessee, and Michigan State, to name a few. However, after his visit to the Tigers’ third spring practice this past Friday, Auburn football is making its way to the top of his list.

Auburn Undercover’s Christian Clemente reports that Boyer thinks very highly of the staff and the environment that head coach Hugh Freeze is building, and liked what he saw from the offensive line group’s practice session:

"“I thought Coach (Jake) Thornton coaches really well, I thought the practice was run really well,” Boyer said. “I liked how it was setup in different sections. They didn’t just go all “indy” and then team. They did some team, some indy, fixed what they did, more team, fixed what they did. It was structured really well.”"

Boyer is staying busy for the rest of the spring and summer, visiting a lot of the schools who have extended offers already. His Auburn offer arrived in January. According to his 247 Sports recruiting profile, he has an unofficial visit set to Michigan State later this month. He will also return to Auburn for an official visit on June 16, and he plans to commit sometime in June, as well.
