Auburn football OT target sets four official visit dates
As the summer months approach, we can expect more and more high school prospects to be narrowing down the programs in their recruitment and deciding on official visit locations. While prospects could formerly only take five official visits, they no longer have a limit. Earlier this week, one Auburn football target announced four programs that he will officially visit this summer.
Kevin Heywood is a 4-star offensive tackle out of Royersford, PA. He is ranked as the #258 overall prospect and the #25 OT in the recruiting class of 2024 and is the #5 recruit out of the state of Pennsylvania.
Although Heywood currently has two 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions to end up at Penn State, that is not one of the schools he has announced he will travel to for an official visit. Those schools include Wisconsin on June 7, Kentucky on June 9, Auburn football on June 16, and Southern Cal on June 23.
Another Tiger target that has set a few official visit dates this summer is 3-star defensive lineman TJ Lindsey. The Bryant, AR, native is ranked as the #41 DL in the recruiting class of 2024 and the #6 recruit out of Arkansas. He will officially visit Auburn on June 2 (his first visit to the Plains), Texas A&M on June 16, and Texas on June 23. He has been to Arkansas plenty of times and Texas A&M a few times, but is most recently coming off an unofficial visit to Oregon that seemed to go really well.
Currently, the Auburn football program has five commits in the recruiting class of 2024: QB Walker White, running back J’Marion Burnette, cornerbacks A’Mon Lane and Jayden Lewis, and ATH Martavious Collins. Although the focus right now seems to be primarily on the transfer portal to address immediate needs on the roster, the summer months will be critical in building relationships and securing a solid class for 2024.
