The spring transfer portal window has closed, and there will be no new entries except for graduate transfers that may enter, and the Auburn football coaching staff is focused on picking up extra depth and talent to add to the roster.

Former Appalachian State edge rusher Jalen McLeod was the first transfer to make his way to the Plains, and then the Tigers finally got their portal quarterback last week when former Michigan State QB Payton Thorne signed with the program on Friday. His commitment was closely followed by former Ohio State wide receiver Caleb Burton, bringing the Tigers’ total number of spring transfers to three.

However, it’s clear that one wide receiver transfer is not enough for Auburn football, and here are two more that fans should keep an eye on.

The first is former Colorado wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig. He was offered by the Tigers soon after he hit the portal, and made his way to the Plains for a visit on April 29th. Just two days ago, Auburn Live’s Jeffrey Lee put in a prediction for Lemonious-Craig to the Tigers—right after the commitment of Thorne. With a quarterback on the roster, the dominoes may start falling for Auburn football.

The other wide receiver to watch is a former teammate of Payton Thorne during his time at Michigan State. Keon Coleman, the Spartans’ WR leader last season, is visiting campus this weekend to decide if he should reunite with his QB in orange and blue, and things are looking good for the Tigers.

Both of the talented wide receivers would have two years of eligibility left, and would join a wide receiver room whose veterans are Ja’Varrius Johnson and Koy Moore, and has one transfer from the earlier window in former Cincinnati WR Nick Mardner. The competition would be fierce and the room would no doubt be elevated should the Tigers bring in the transfer WRs.
