In the past several Auburn football recruiting classes there has been a commit that goes above and beyond in terms of recruiting other prospects to the Plains, and there’s no doubt that in the 2024 class that person is quarterback Walker White.

The 4-star QB has been vocal about wanting great athletes to join him at Auburn since the moment he committed, and he continues to build relationships with other recruits and even push them to the Plains on social media. White’s latest target was on campus for an official visit over the weekend.

4-star ATH Daniel Hill is ranked as the #213 overall prospect and the #20 ATH in the recruiting class of 2024. He is the #5 recruit out of the state of Mississippi. Hill has made quite a few trips to Tuscaloosa already but recently named South Carolina as a leader in his recruitment. Earlier this month he named his top 8 schools, including Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan, LSU, Penn State, Mississippi State, and Auburn football.

According to Auburn Rivals, White made the trip to the Plains to participate in a camp despite already being committed in order to recruit some of the talented prospects that were also on campus, including Daniel Hill:

"“I know Daniel Hill released his top eight and Auburn is one of those. I’m just gonna try to narrow that to a top one and try to get him here with us. That would be a huge grab.”"

After his trip to Auburn, Hill has two more official visits scheduled. He will be at Alabama on June 16 and then at South Carolina on June 23. Those are the two schools that will be the hardest for the Tigers to beat, but anything can happen between now and the signing period and Walker White is definitely pushing the ATH to become a Tiger.
