Another weekend on the Plains means another group of official visitors was hosted by the Auburn football program and the coaching staff. As the summer gets going, the Tigers are constantly adding more visitors to their list for star-studded weekends on campus.
This past weekend, 4-star safety Kensley Faustin was on campus for an official visit with the Tigers. He is ranked as the #375 overall prospect and the #33 safety in the recruiting class of 2024 and is the #54 recruit out of the state of Florida. Though members of the coaching staff have been to Naples High School to visit the Florida athlete, this was Faustin’s first trip to the Plains.
The visit with Auburn football is Faustin’s second official visit so far, following an official to UCF on June 3 and preceding an official to Florida State on June 23.
According to Auburn Rivals, the best part of Faustin’s visit was getting to sit down with secondary coach Zac Etheridge, his primary recruiter and would-be position coach, and breaking down his film. Faustin saw a great fit for himself in the schemes and could see himself getting early playing time on the Plains:
"It caught me by surprise of how easy it is that I could fit in the scheme,” Faustin said. “Then how I’d transfer it over and how we play basically the same defense in high school.”"
The safety also talked about his admiration for head coach Hugh Freeze, who he believes is a great man who can meet the high expectations thrown upon him in the culture of the SEC.
Though Faustin does not yet have a commitment timeline, he is planning to take official visits to several other schools over the summer and make a commitment decision in time to enroll in the spring wherever he chooses to play.
