Auburn LB target enjoyed working out with his brother during Tigers visit
Auburn football linebacker target Jakaleb Faulk out of Highland Homes had a unique opportunity during his latest visit to the Plains: getting to work out with his older brother, 2023 EDGE recruit Keldric Faulk. Jakaleb told Auburn Rivals’ Caleb Jones that it was something “different” and “new.”
“It was something you wouldn’t be able to do everyday,” Faulk said. “It was something different, it was something new.”
The younger Faulk brother doesn’t seem intent on flirting with schools from Florida or elsewhere unlike the eldest Faulk, who committed to Florida State while Bryan Harsin was still Tigers head coach but flipped when Hugh Freeze came to the rescue. Jakaleb is predominantly interested in Alabama and Auburn football at the moment. As Jones reports, Faulk will be back for the UMass game on September 2 but could be back to campus “well before then for additional visits.”
Auburn football veteran praises Keldric Faulk and calls him 2023 class standout
Veteran defensive lineman Jayson Jones had high praise for the eldest Faulk during a recent appearance on the Locked On Auburn podcast with Zac Blackerby — calling him the top standout from the Tigers’ 2023 recruiting class thus far.
“I know Darren Reed’s doing a good job of adapting, but I think the biggest one for me, I know he came in and came in January, but it’s Keldric Faulk and I feel like he’s came on a lot,” Jones said (h/t Auburn Daily’s Lance Dawe). “Finally, I think he’s understanding and it’s really good that he’s understanding now rather than later how to be a pro, about stuff like taking care of your body, eating right and working out and conditioning and stuff like that.”
As Keldric carves out his own path on the Plains, his younger brother Jakaleb could be someone that either follows his lead or take a direct stand against him by signing on with Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa instead.
