Google may have spoiled Auburn recruiting target’s decision

Does Google know something the rest of us don’t in regards to Auburn football recruiting target KJ Bolden, a 5-star safety out of Buford, Georgia, and his commitment decision; which was supposed to take place on August 5?

Jake Crain of Crain & Company tweeted out an image of a “KJ Bolden” Google search on August 4 that included in its top stories section the news that Bolden had already committed to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.

This would end Auburn football head coach Hugh Freeze’s recruiting hot streak that has already seen him flip a 5-star linebacker, Demarcus Riddick out of Chilton County, from Georgia, and a 5-star wideout, Perry Thompson out of Foley, from Alabama.

Georgia and Auburn football are the top two choices in KJ Bolden’s recruitment

As Dawgs Daily’s Jonathan Williams reports, Georgia and Auburn are likely Bolden’s top two choices at this point; though Ohio State and Florida State also qualify as dark horse potential landing spots.

“Bolden is currently at Buford High School and is teammates with current Georgia commits Dylan Raiola and Jadon Perlotte, which certainly can only help the Bulldogs’ chances,” Williams prefaced before saying, “It seems like this decision will really come down between Georgia and Auburn, but every school that remains in the mix will be scratching and clawing all the way until Bolden makes his final decision.”

Williams sees the work Freeze has done to elevate the 2024 recruiting class makes the Tigers a “significant player in this battle” for Bolden.

“Bolden was recently at Auburn as they try to make their final push to help get Bolden to commit to the Tigers,” Williams prefaced before saying, “Freeze and his program have been very apparent with their efforts in this class and are doing everything they can to get the program going in the right direction, and that makes them a significant player in this battle especially considering their need for a player like Bolden.”
