It’s a big day for the Auburn football program. The Tigers are now several days into Fall Camp, and are preparing to take on the rest of the SEC in the 2023 season. However, recruiting never ends and there are still many high-quality prospects considering Auburn as their college destination.

Last month, the Tigers had a lot of recruiting success. Former Georgia commit Demarcus Riddick, a 5-star linebacker, flipped to Auburn football on July 26, and then two more big commits took place during Big Cat Weekend. The Tigers picked up 4-star Alexander City wide receiver Malcolm Simmons, and then followed it up by flipping 5-star wide receiver Perry Thompson from Alabama.

Already, head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff have shown that Auburn football is once again a recruiting competitor for Alabama and Georgia. The Tigers are going head-to-head with the Dawgs and the Tide again this weekend along with Florida State and Ohio State to try to pick up the commitment of 5-star safety KJ Bolden.

Ranked as the #7 overall prospect and the #1 safety in the recruiting class of 2024, Bolden is the #2 player out of the state of Georgia. He was on the Plains for Big Cat Weekend, and seemed to get very much into the hype surrounding Simmons’ and Thompson’s commitments.

Now it’s his turn to make a decision. The Buford, GA, safety has kept his cards close to his chest, and his recruitment has gotten extremely fluid over the past week or so. While no one is certain, it seems like this decision will come down between Georgia and Auburn.

Bolden plans to commit live on the On3 YouTube channel tonight at 6:30 p.m. central time.
