Tank Bigsby believes Tar’Varish Dawson, who caught a touchdown pass from Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders for one of four touchdowns scored by the Buffs in a 36-14 victory over Nebraska, could’ve done that on the Plains if not for disgraced former Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin’s misuse of the slot receiver during his two years at AU.

Bigsby shared an Instagram story saying “Been like that, just didn’t know how to use him,” which Auburn Daily’s Lance Dawe was able to capture.

Between Dawson’s tuddy to put CU up 22 over Nebraska and TJ Finley’s massive Week 1 showing against Texas State, and everything that has happened with Bo Nix post-Auburn transfer, it’s evident that Harsin misused almost every talent he either inherited from the previous coaching staff or recruited himself. A metaphorical fumbling of the bag, one that was nonstop and would oftentimes manifest literally on the field due to the collapsing of pass protection from underrecruited classes year after year.

Tank Bigsby could end up as Bryan Harsin’s biggest Auburn football fumble

Bigsby never got the chance to show that he was truly one of the SEC’s best running backs during his three years in the conference due to the lack of protection for No. 4. What he ends up doing with the Jacksonville Jaguars could very well make Tank the biggest Harsin bag fumble, since Nix’s NFL success will hinge largely on what system he lands with; and Bigsby is already in a good situation on a could-be contender.

It wouldn’t shock this writer to see Bigsby end up as Jacksonville’s RB1 by the time the postseason rolls around, and it could behoove anyone with No. 4 on the waiver wire in their fantasy leagues to extend a flier.

All the more proof that Harsin was anything but a home run hire.
