The Auburn football team will be playing for their first SEC win this weekend as they take on the Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels at home in Jordan-Hare Stadium. It’s been a tough few weeks for the Tigers, who have lost three in a row to Texas A&M, Georgia, and LSU.

The Tigers have also lost a couple of recruits in the past few weeks, though it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes room has to be made for more impressive prospects. Earlier this month, 4-star cornerback Jayden Lewis reopened his recruitment after being the first Auburn football commit in the class of 2024.

However, this weekend the Tigers will be hosting various recruits from the classes of 2024 and 2025, including 5-star cornerback Na’eem Offord. He is ranked as the #8 overall prospect and the #3 cornerback in the recruiting class of 2025, and is the #2 recruit out of the state of Alabama.

This will be Offord’s second trip to the Plains this season after making his way to campus for the Samford game back in September.

Judging by Offord’s On3 Sports Recruiting Profile, Auburn and Alabama are the top schools for the in-state prospect, but he is showing interest in Miami and Ohio State, as well. He has visited both Auburn and Tuscaloosa three times total, and if the Tigers can put on a good show this weekend it’s possible Auburn could move to the top of Offord’s list.

Auburn and Ole Miss will kick off from Jordan-Hare Stadium on the Plains this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. central time, and the game will be broadcasted on ESPN. Ole Miss has only one loss this season, to Alabama, while the Tigers have yet to beat an SEC opponent. Let’s hope the night atmosphere in JHS is enough to change that.
