Auburn football legend Bo Jackson was sacrilegiously compared by CBS Sports’ Rick Neuheisel to Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and LSU’s signal-caller Jayden Daniels during halftime of the First Saturday in November game from Tuscaloosa.

Yeah. Actually.

Neuheisel was telling the halftime panel that he always heard that one day there’d be “Bo Jackson’s” under center, before making the contrived and cringe comparison of the former two-sport athlete to the Tigers/Tide QBs.

X predictably not happy CBS Sports analyst compared LSU and Alabama QBs to Auburn football legend

You don’t have to be a Tiger fan to detest Neuheisel’s insinuation. There will never be a Milroe or Daniels statue outside of Tiger Stadium or Bryant-Denny Stadium, and there will likely never be another Bo.

Predictably, fans across the fandom spectrum took to X to blast the comparison.

“This washed-up a** former coach just called Jayden Daniels & Jalen Monroe Bo Jackson playing QB,” one angry poster prefaced before saying, “Such a tired a** narrative.”

“Rick Neuheisel just said ‘We’re watching two Bo Jacksons play tonight,'” another prefaced before asking, “Are you KIDDING me? Did he ever see the real Bo Jackson play?”

“Comparing Jalen Milroe, albeit a good QB, to Bo Jackson is a fireable offense…In what world?” pleaded one befuddled poster.

“Announcers on Bama-LSU game: ‘We are watching two Bo Jackson’s play tonight,'” prefaced another before saying, “It’s a great game. But I can tell you that we are not witnessing that.”

“We’re watching two Bo Jackson’s play QB tonight…Worst take I’ve ever heard in my life! Fireable offense (in my opinion),” opined another.

What was just provided by Neuheisel to the AU locker room was a whole bunch of bulletin board material for the Iron Bowl; if you’re a believer in such a phenomenon. This quote may be revisited quite a bit from here on out.

It’s nearly unfathomable meme material.
