The New York Football Giants have a quarterback vacancy with the loss of Daniel Jones to an ACL injury, and Auburn football legend Cam Newton would undoubtedly be the best “Danny Dimes” replacement possible for Big Blue.
Newton is a proven winner at the NFL level and can come right in and motivate the stuck-on-the-hamster-wheel Giants roster. An added bonus is the chance to see Newto throw to a later-era Tiger, Darius Slayton. That’s several generations of War Eagle right there.
Newton can come in with more clout than any other option New York possesses, including Jones, and can attempt to salvage a 2-7 season that was not designed to be a rebuilding year for Brian Daboll’s coaching staff. Hell, Newton may be the only person who can save Daboll at this point.
No other player the NY Giants are considering is a proven one-man wrecking ball like Auburn football legend Cam Newton
The Giants are certainly a dysfunctional franchise right now, but Newton can turn this entire team around and put them in the right direction with a high level of play and leadership. He’s already done that, taking a 7-5 Tigers team in 2009 and turning them into a conference champion and BCS National Championship winner in a year.
Newton isn’t going to sweat the spotlight in New York; embracing it as he’s always done. Big Blue is a huge brand and being a Giant comes with a lot of responsibility.
Newton was born to bask in that kind of glow.
