3. Camden Brown, sophomore

Jay Fair and Camden Brown were both three-star receivers in Auburn’s 2022 recruiting class. Fair is tied for the team lead in catches with 30 and has gained 300 yards with two touchdowns as a sophomore.

At 6-foot-3 Brown has more natural size than the 5-foot-10 Fair, but Brown hasn’t adjusted to the college game nearly as well. He’s been underwhelming in his time at Auburn, this year he has just 78 yards on eight catches after just hauling in nine passes as a freshman.

It’s becoming clear that Brown isn’t going to succeed at Auburn, or in the SEC at all, so he’s likely to head to the transfer portal this offseason.

Freeze is putting together a strong 2024 class that is headlined by five-star receiver Perry Thompson, so playing time will be even harder to come by for Brown if he stays.
