Mississippi State QB entering transfer portal perfect for Auburn’s 2024 WRs
After losing to Ole Miss in the 2023 Egg Bowl, superstar quarterback Will Rogers is reportedly going to hit the transfer portal — giving the Auburn football program a perfect marquee QB target to pursue once the next cycle opens on December 4.
Maroon and White Nation’s Ethan Lee honored Rogers as one of the best players in Mississippi State school history but relayed that the Brandon, Mississippi native is indeed going to hit the transfer portal and leave the program.
“One of the best players in Mississippi State football history is reportedly interested in transferring away from the Mississippi State Bulldogs. After this Mississippi State football season came to a close with MSU coming up short in the 2023 Egg Bowl, it looks like Rogers will take his talents elsewhere.”

Will Rogers the perfect QB to unlock star 2024 Auburn football WR recruits
Auburn must do everything in its power to make sure that Rogers joins the program given the young talented receivers coming into the program. With Perry Thompson committing and Cameron Coleman potentially flipping from Texas A&M, 2024 could be special if all the ingredients are in the pot.
Rogers is second in SEC history with 12,315 career passing yards and fourth in career touchdowns with 94. Add that to these young receivers, and not only will they dominate in year one, but they’d undoubtedly stay committed to AU long-term after experiencing that success out of the gate.
If Rogers decides to join the program, with all the amazing talent the team has, Auburn would be a sure-fire powerhouse program and one very much in the SEC mix. The 2024 season would be one to remember if the Tigers were to pull him from the portal.
