NFL: 1998-2012

Takeo Spikes led the Auburn defense to the SEC title game in his final season and then was drafted 13th overall in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He played in Cincinnati for five years, but his best seasons came in his second stop.

Spikes made the Pro Bowl in 2003, his first season as a Buffalo Bill. Then, he made another Pro Bowl in 2004 and was named first-team All-Pro with 98 tackles and five interceptions. Spikes made over 100 tackles in each of his first five seasons, and 2004 was the first time he missed the milestone, but arguably his best season.

Spike made over 100 tackles three more times in his career and retired after the 2012 season.
