In today’s Auburn Tigers news roundup KJ Bolden gets an in-home visit and another transfer portal wide receiver earns an offer.

News in the world of the Auburn Tigers has revolved around 5-star defensive back KJ Bolden for the past few days, especially after Florida State was left out of the College Football Playoffs.

The Tigers never stopped recruiting Bolden, even after he committed to the Seminoles, and have been a main player in his recruitment. The other team to beat out for the flip will be the Georgia Bulldogs.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Bolden arrived on the Plains for another unofficial visit. He spent time with the coaching staff, and has a strong relationship with head coach Hugh Freeze. Today, just days after Bolden spent time in Auburn, Freeze made his way over to Buford, GA, for an in-home visit with the safety and his family.

Though it won’t be easy to flip Bolden to the Tigers, the Auburn football program is making a big push ahead of the early national signing period at the end of the month.

Auburn Tigers extend another transfer portal offer

The coaching staff has also been busy monitoring the transfer portal for additional depth and talent to add to the 2024 roster. Many offers went out on the first day of the open window, and several Auburn football players have also declared intentions to transfer.

The most recent extended offer has gone to former South Alabama wide receiver Caullin Lacy. The Mobile, AL, native played four seasons with the Jaguars and recorded 208 receptions for 2,521 yards and 13 touchdowns. Last season alone, Lacy caught 91 passes for 1,316 yards and seven touchdowns.

Lacy has received multiple other offers, but seems interested in Texas A&M under their new head coach Mike Elko. He will take a visit to College Station this weekend to check out the Aggies.
