After a historic 2024-25 season, the Auburn basketball team is going to look a little different heading into 2025-26. Last year's squad ended their season in the Final Four against Florida in San Antonio, and the only returning player from the team is rising sophomore Tahaad Pettiford.
The SEC was elite in basketball last year, with 14 teams making the NCAA Tournament, the most teams from a single conference to ever make it on the bracket. Auburn was crowned the SEC champion last season despite the difficulty, and they will be looking to do it over again this year.
The conference released SEC opponents for each team earlier this week, and here is how Auburn's schedule turned out.
HOME
Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, Texas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt
AWAY
Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee
The most notable change to the draw is that the Tigers will face Alabama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas both at home and away, so the Razorbacks will replace the Georgia Bulldogs as Auburn's typical third home-and-away opponent. It is the first time since the 2014 season that Auburn and Georgia have not met twice in the regular season. Exact game dates will be announced closer to the beginning of the season.
Auburn basketball finished last season 15-3 in conference play, dropping their last two regular-season games to Texas A&M and Alabama after locking up the conference championship. Prior to those games, they lost to Florida at home.
