Chris Carbin, a 3-star EDGE out of Hillgrove HS in Powder Springs, Ga., has narrowed his list of schools down to three, and Hugh Freeze's Auburn is one of them.

On Tuesday, the 68th-best EDGE in the 2026 class eliminated all schools but the Tigers, Georgia Tech and Florida State, Rivals' Hayes Fawcett announced.

“The program is built on hard work, faith, and family," Carbin said of Auburn. "The same values I live by. Auburn is in my top 3 because I want to be a part of something real, something that stands for more than just football. Being in the SEC is also great because to be the best you have to beat the best."

The 6-foot-4, 236-pound Carbin received a scholarship offer from Auburn this past weekend. He decommitted from Georgia Tech earlier this month, but the Yellow Jackets still seem to be the leader.

As for what he is looking for in a program, Carbin listed three emphasis points.

“My deciding factors in a school are development, trust, and education," he said. "Somewhere I can see myself for 4 years making myself into a true freshman and getting a degree in whatever I choose to major in.”
