Shadarius Toodle, a 4-star linebacker from Mobile, Ala., has signed with Auburn on the first day of the Early Signing Period. And, if you get confused, yes, his brother, Shadrick Toodle, has also inked his commitment to the Tigers.

“Home is where the heart is, and my love for Auburn never faded," Shadarius said.

The younger Toodle has long been coveted for the Tigers' 2026 recruiting class, having been committed to Georgia before flipping back to Auburn in October after taking several visits to the Plains. Keeping DJ Durkin as defensive coordinator might have helped Alex Golesh stave off competitors who were coming after the linebacker.

“I feel like Coach Durkin is doing a great job defensive-wise," he said. "Coach Durkin is the main reason why I flipped back. Because of the family aspect of it.”

As for the hiring of Golesh as Auburn's new head coach, he couldn't be more excited.

“I love it,” Shadarius said of the Golesh hire. “I can’t wait to come in and work.”

Shadrick Toodle played this past season for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
