Following Auburn's overtime loss to Missouri on Saturday, current Tiger commit Bralan Womack made headlines by discussing the lack of offense by Hugh Freeze's squad in their fourth-straight loss to open SEC play.

"The honest truth in how I'm feeling right now, the defense has got to stop leaving the game up to the offense," the 5-star safety told Auburn Undercover. "At this point, the defense — in the college world we live in now — you've got to score 20 or more points to compete. And we've done that zero times in SEC play.

"It doesn't look like it's going to change. Nothing's changing. Defense, we had some times we could've gotten off the field. But when the time prevailed we got you the ball two extra times and did nothing with it. You've got to capitalize on offense. All the teams that are successful right now in the college world are putting numbers on the scoreboard. We're not doing it."

On Monday, the top safety and No. 14 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class took to Twitter to clear up any bad blood that might exist between him and Auburn following the comments.

"In regard to the article that's circulating, I want to clear the air," Womack wrote. "My intentions were never to bad mouth Auburn's offense. I'm just a competitor who's passionate about the game and excited about what's being built here. Auburn has so much potential, and I can't wait to be a part of it. I just don't want anything taken out of context from what I said about the recent games. I will continue to support my team win, lose or draw, but I will also continue to hold us to the highest standard! War Eagle!"

The Flowood, Miss., native committed to the Tigers on August 21.
