Hugh Freeze is gradually building a monster in Auburn. Currently, Freeze and the Tigers have brought in seven commitments from the class of 2026, ranking No. 13 in the nation and trailing just behind the powerhouse Texas Longhorns.
With the No. 8 class of 2025 and a continuously improving class of 2026 prospects, Freeze is sitting in a pretty position for the next few years.
Most recently, Zion Elee, a five-star EDGE in the class of 2026, created buzz around the Tigers with a simple message on X (formerly Twitter) despite already being committed to the Maryland Terrapins.

Elee committed to the Terps in December of 2024 as the No. 1 edge rusher in the class and the No. 2 athlete out of the state of Maryland. Before his commitment, recruiting sites like On3 and 247Sports gave the Tigers a relatively good chance to bring Elee to Auburn.
Currently, 247Sports gives Elee and "cool" interest in Auburn. Meanwhile, On3 somewhat surprisingly gives the Oregon Ducks an 86.3 percent chance of landing Elee's commitment.
Freeze has already received a commitment from an edge rusher in the class of 2026 in the form of four-star EDGE Hezekiah Harris, who committed to the Tigers in July of last year. The class is composed of 4 more four-star prospects as well as 2 three-star prospects.
Auburn's class of 2025 commits is composed of 1 five-star, 15 four-star, and 10 three-star prospects. So far, nobody in the country has received commitments from the classes of 2027 or 2028.
