It's another bye week for the Auburn Tigers, and while John Cohen and his staff do their duty and try to find the next head football coach, Auburn fans will be stuck trying to figure out what to watch for entertainment this weekend.
As always, you are lucky I am here, as I am more than happy to provide you with a guide on what to watch as we continue to count down the days to the best holiday of the year, Thanksgiving. There are plenty of massive matchups in college football this weekend, so get out of those early Christmas shopping trips, get in your recliner and enjoy a weekend full of sports.
Here's a somewhat complete guide to the weekend.
FRIDAY NIGHT
6:30 p.m. - Clemson at No. 20 Louisville (ESPN)
Jeff Brohm just got a contract extension from Louisville. In other news, Dabo Swinney remains a strange dude.
8:00 p.m. - Minnesota at No. 8 Oregon (FOX)
Minnesota should wear its ugliest uniforms so that this can be the matchup no one can dare watch due to the mixture of colors.
SATURDAY MORNING
If it is nice, go for a walk and enjoy the foliage, if that still applies to your area. If it is rainy, sleep in, knowing you won't miss anything on College GameDay or Big Noon Kickoff.
SATURDAY EARLY GAMES
11:00 a.m. - Wisconsin at No. 2 Indiana (Big Ten Network)
How is Luke Fickell getting another year in Madison? That's the question you should be asking yourself while watching the Badgers go 3-and-out for the fifth straight time.
11:00 a.m. - South Carolina at No. 3 Texas A&M (ESPN)
November blues for the Aggies? Nah.
11:00 a.m. - No. 9 Notre Dame at No. 22 Pittsburgh (ABC)
It's Marcus Freeman vs. Pat Narduzzi. This game would have been awesome in 1973.
11:45 a.m. - Arkansas at LSU (SEC Network)
Just in case Brian Kelly pulls a George Costanza and shows up for work after everything that has been happening in Baton Rouge the past two weeks.
AFTERNOON GAMES
2:30 p.m. - No. 11 Oklahoma at No. 4 Alabama (ABC)
The Sooners' defense is pretty good. Can they stop Ty Simpson and the Tide? Will Alabama sorority girls shoot TikTok films at halftime?
2:30 p.m. - No. 23 Iowa at No. 17 USC (Big Ten Network)
You could have told me that this was a matchup between two ranked teams, and I would have never believed you.
3:00 p.m. - FAU at Tulane (ESPN+)
You know, for scouting reasons.
EVENING GAMES
6:00 p.m. - Florida at No. 7 Ole Miss (ESPN)
Knowing Lane Kiffin, something interesting will happen in this game between his current employer and a program that wants to hire him.
6:30 p.m. - No. 10 Texas at No. 5 Georgia (ABC)
I have no idea how this game will turn out, but I hope Arch Manning has the ball in his hands in crunch time.
LATE NIGHT
9:00 p.m. - Louisiana Tech at Washington State (The CW Network)
Geez. Just seven years ago, Mike Leach and Gardner Minshew were leading one of the most electric teams in the Pac-12. Now, the Cougs are playing Louisiana Tech on The CW Network. What a shame.
9:30 p.m. - Boise State at San Diego State (CBSSN)
10:00 p.m. - Turn to the Hallmark channel. I'm sure there is a fantastic Christmas movie on.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON
2:00 p.m. - No. 1 Houston vs. No. 22 Auburn (ESPN)
The top-ranked Cougars take on Tahaad Pettiford and the Tigers in Birmingham in a rematch of last year's game in Houston. Oh, and I will be in attendance, so if you see me, say hello.
