Alex Golesh is currently raiding his former school, USF, for talent as the new Auburn head football coach continues to bring players he coached as Bulls to the Plains.
The latest three are wide receiver Jeremiah Koger, safety Fred Gaskin II and cornerback Gavin Jenkins, two of whom were critical in USF going 9-4 this past season.
Koger, a 6-foot-3 receiver out of Baltimore, caught 38 passes for 597 yards and eight touchdowns as a true freshman in 2025. His best outing came against Navy, in which he put up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown on nine catches, while he caught four passes for 94 yards and two scores against North Texas. He was a 3-star signee out of high school, while being ranked the No. 24 wide receiver in this year’s transfer portal.
With his size and strength, he is a competent replacement for the outside position vacated by Cam Coleman, who left the Tigers via the transfer portal after two seasons.
Gaskin played in all 13 games for the Bulls, recording 53 total tackles (28 solo) along with three tackles for a loss, one sack, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. The sophomore also broke up two passes while forcing a fumble in 2025.
A freshman from Lake Butler, Fla., Jenkins appeared in just four games for the Bulls, recording five total tackles.
These three additions add to Golesh’s total of 10 players already coming to Auburn via the transfer portal, nine of whom are following him from USF. There could be more on the way as the Tigers are the favorites to land quarterback Byrum Brown, along with wide receiver Keshaun Singleton, who led the Bulls with 877 receiving yards and eight touchdowns last season.
Auburn added running back Nykahi Davenport, tight end Jonathan Echols, and wide receivers Kory Pettigrew and Christian Neptune on Monday as well.
