The America250 commission, which bills itself as a bipartisan initiative working to engage every American in the 250th anniversary of the United States, made sure to hit the Plains for the Iron Bowl this past Saturday. Those watching from home probably noticed, with the America250 logo plastered on the field.

While Auburn Tiger fans didn't come away from the 27-20 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide feeling good about the night, the America250 representatives in attendance came away satisfied with their efforts before and during the Iron Bowl.

America250 Chair Rosie Rios was happy about the turnout on AU's campus, and gave credit to fellow commissioner Jimmy Rane, the infamous YellaWood booster who's long had influence for all Auburn football decisions, for organizing the event.

“It was incredible to be a part of the history and emotion surrounding this year's Iron Bowl as a powerful way to continue the Our American Story tour and get people excited to ring in 2026,” Rios said via an America250 representative. “There was nothing like seeing the America250 logo out on the field and representing the organization with fellow Commissioner Jimmy Rane. I am thrilled to hear millions tuned into the game. Thousands of people engaged with our America's Kickoff experience and enjoyed America250 stickers, Coca-Cola beverages and connected with their fellow community. It all truly captured what the spirit of America250 is all about."

Auburn continues to be premiere College Football brand

While the Tigers lost the game, it speaks volumes that America250 decided to attend the Iron Bowl, despite Auburn entering the contest 5-6 with just one win in SEC play all season.

AU may be down, but with Alex Golesh accepting the head coaching job the day after the Iron Bowl, they're anything but out.

Even during a down year, Auburn is a slice of Americana that represents small-town America well, supporting a program regardless of the circumstances.
