Auburn football has reached a much-needed bye week after two straight losses to start SEC play. The Tigers were overmatched by Oklahoma and Texas A&M, both teams in the top 10, on the road in their first two conference games, and face another gauntlet of two weeks with No. 12 Georgia and No. 19 Missouri coming to Jordan-Hare Stadium following the off week.

With Saturday off, Auburn fans could get a lot of different things done: rake leaves, get the honey-do list completed or enjoy what looks to be a beautiful weekend of weather. But, let's be honest: we will all be watching college football as we only get so many of these fall Saturdays every year.

With that said, here's an Auburn fan's viewer guide to the weekend. If you need me, I will be at Logan Martin Lake trying to convince my buddy's bulldog, Sullivan, to stop slobbering on me.

FRIDAY NIGHT

West Virginia at No. 23 BYU (9:30 pm CT, ESPN)

I can't think of more contrasting fan bases than that of the Mountaineers and Cougars. They should arrange for students from each school to attend the other in a social experiment.

EARLY SATURDAY GAMES

Kentucky at No. 12 Georgia (11 am CT, ABC)

Can the Bulldogs respond after the heartbreaking loss to Alabama? Can Kentucky's offense do absolutely anything? Is this Mark Stoops' last stand as the Wildcats' coach? So many question marks heading into this one.

Clemson at North Carolina (11 am CT, ESPN)

Both programs are on the verge of imploding, and for totally different reasons. If it weren't for the intrigue of Dabo vs. Belichick, this game would belong on ACC Network+.

Wake Forest at Virginia Tech (12 pm CT, The CW Network)

Auburn fans have a chance to check in on Robby Ashford.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON

No. 7 Penn State at UCLA (2:30 pm CT, CBS)

This is somehow the CBS Game of the Week. That's what the network gets for trading in the SEC for the Big Ten.

No. 9 Texas at Florida (2:30 pm CT, ESPN)

If Billy Napier wants to save his job, it starts with a win over Arch Manning and the Longhorns. This will also be Manning's first real test since the opener against Ohio State. We all remembered what happened then.

No. 16 Vanderbilt at No. 10 Alabama (2:30 pm CT, ABC)

Diego Pavia is good, but I don't see him going into Bryant-Denny Stadium and taking out the Crimson Tide for the second year in a row.

SATURDAY EVENING GAMES

No. 3 Miami at No. 18 Florida State (6:30 pm CT, ABC)

Can the Gus Bus create enough offense to take down the Hurricanes? Doak Walker Stadium will be rocking.

Mississippi State at No. 6 Texas A&M (6:30 pm CT, SEC Network)

I predict this game to be a low-scoring affair.

STILL AWAKE????

Duke at California (9:30 pm CT, ESPN)

A sneaky good game, the Blue Devils have a stud in freshman running back Nate Sheppard. Also, look who it is, everyone! It's Bryan Harsin living what I am sure is his best life in Berkeley. Okay, that combination might be stranger than West Virginia and BYU students.
