As the Auburn basketball program awaits a final decision from Tahaad Pettiford about whether or not he will return to the Plains, the staff have made moves to add another key piece to the roster.

Serbian forward Filip Jovic committed to Head Coach Bruce Pearl and the Tigers on Wednesday, rounding out the frontcourt for the coming season. Jovic spent the last two seasons playing for Serbian-based club KK Mega Basket in the FIBA Europe league. According to Auburn Undercover, Jovic averaged 12.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in 27 games while shooting 57 percent from the floor.

Jovic is the 10th addition to Bruce Pearl's squad after having to replace every player from last year's Final Four roster. The only player who could potentially return is Pettiford, who has until the end of the day to declare he will drop out of the NBA Draft. His addition comes after Pearl hinted to the media several weeks ago that the Tigers were in the process of trying to add an international player.

Jovic joins former Mississippi State big man KeShawn Hall, former UCF forward Keyshawn Murphy and former JUCO center Emeka Opurum on the Tigers' frontcourt heading into the 2025-26 season.

Other roster additions include former Texas Tech guard Kevin Overton and former Lincoln Memorial wing Elyjah Freeman from the transfer portal and guard Abdul Bashir from the JUCO ranks. A trio of freshman — forward Sebastian Williams-Adams, point guard Kaden Magwood and shooting guard Simon Walker — will join the roster as well.
