After losing the commitments of Samis Calderon and Bryson Tiller to Kansas, fans began to worry about the future of the Auburn basketball backcourt. So, head coach Bruce Pearl went shopping– and he found a good one.

On Sunday, November 18, power forward Sebastian Williams-Adams announced his commitment to Pearl’s program. The 4-star chose the Tigers over top programs like Purdue.

Williams-Adams is a six-foot-eight, 230-pound behemoth of a player, while still being a versatile scorer. The Houston native is ranked the No. 10 power forward overall in the 2025 recruiting class.

247Sports’ Director of Scouting describes Williams-Adams as “a highly versatile four-man who specializes in getting downhill as a face-up driver and then guarding multiple positions on the defensive end of the floor… extremely long with a nearly 7-foot-2 wingspan and a solid early build that has filled out and blossomed into a strong body.

“He's pretty light on his feet when running the floor and a plus athlete in transition. Offensively, he plays primarily on the perimeter but is looking to put the ball on the floor and get downhill at every opportunity. He's a bit upright, but has good burst out of his legs. He's good off a pitch or when he has room to just accelerate into space. He's able to drive both sides, can navigate the lane with euro-steps, and is even capable of making some basic drive-and-kick passes after a couple of hard dribbles.”

Though this is a fantastic display of Coach Pearl’s recruiting abilities, the job isn’t done just yet. Key Auburn bigs Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, and Chaney Johnson are all playing their last year of eligibility, so it’ll be up to Pearl and his squad to keep this recruiting momentum going.
