The Auburn Board of Trustees has approved the plans for the Jordan-Hare North Project at a meeting on Friday, with construction beginning in the summer of 2026 and completion set for spring 2029.
“In addition to more than 3,000 new premium seating and club experiences, the Jordan-Hare North Project will expand campus dining options with the introduction of Shug’s Food Hall – a modern food hall which will provide expanded food and beverage options in the heart of the Auburn campus – while serving as a concessions hub open to all Jordan-Hare Stadium ticket holders on football gamedays. The project will also feature versatile conference and event spaces, retail venues, student activity spaces, and meeting rooms.”
If you’ve been to Jordan-Hare Stadium, you have probably noticed how unattractive the north side of the stadium is from the outside, with views of a parking lot full of television trucks alongside the bare scaffolding of the outside of the stadium. Compared to the south and east sides of the stadium, it has needed much improvement for years.
Rooted in history.

“The Jordan-Hare North Project will benefit Auburn for generations, elevating the experience for all fans on football Saturdays while also enhancing the campus community year-round,” Auburn Athletics Director John Cohen said. “We are extraordinarily grateful to the Board of Trustees for their final approval, and to President Roberts, Dr. Bobby Woodard and Auburn University for their partnership. We encourage Auburn people to enthusiastically support the ‘Ever Auburn’ campaign.”
Jordan-Hare Stadium getting much-needed upgrade
More of the benefits include:
- Five new entry gates
- 66 new concession points of sale
- 13 elevators and 270 restroom fixtures
It will finally complete the stadium's look and ensure it stays up to date with the rest of the SEC. And, for those who sit in the upper deck, a sixth-floor terrace will connect the east and west sides for the first time in stadium history.
Even though he has yet to coach a game in Jordan-Hare, Alex Golesh is thrilled about the renovations.
"This is an unbelievable day for the Auburn Family. I want to thank the Board of Trustees, President Roberts and John Cohen for their leadership and vision in making this happen,” Golesh said. “The Jordan-Hare North Project will be an elite space that serves the entire Auburn community 365 days a year.”
