This year, the coaching carousel was as busy as could be, and on Sunday, Nov. 30, it seemed to only gather more steam as one coach after another was taken off the board.
That included Alex Golesh, the (now) former head coach of the USF Bulls, when he was hired by the Auburn Tigers as the program's replacement for Hugh Freeze.
As Golesh packs his bags and leaves South Florida for the Plains of Auburn, AL, fans should keep an eye out for him bringing a few of his star players along with him.
USF players Golesh should prioritize bringing to Auburn
1. Bryum Brown, quarterback, redshirt junior
The Bulls' starting quarterback, Byrum Brown, has continued to set program records throughout this season as he has helped lead USF to a 9-3 overall record. The veteran QB only appeared in four games during his true-freshman season, so he still has a year of eligibility remaining.
With the disaster class that the Auburn quarterback room has been over the last few seasons, an experienced and talented player like Brown is exactly who the Tigers need in the backfield.
This season, Brown has earned a resounding 3,158 passing yards on 226 completions (66.3 percent) for 28 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. As a dual-threat quarterback, he has also earned 1,008 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground, averaging 5.8 yards per carry.
2. Keshaun Singleton, wide receiver, sophomore
Wide receiver Keshaun Singleton has played 18 games in his young career and is currently a true sophomore for the Bulls.
He quickly became one of Brown's go-to guys downfield, and this season, he has earned nearly 900 receiving yards for eight touchdowns. While he isn't breaking records, his 17.5-yard-per-catch average is undeniably incredible and could be a great addition to an Auburn wideout room that is already has many talented athletes.
3. Jonas Duclona, defensive back, redshirt sophomore
After starting his career with the Wisconsin Badgers and not seeing the amount of playing time he thought he deserved, cornerback Jonas Duclona transferred to play for Golesh and the Bulls. This season, his stats have skyrocketed as Golesh utilized him as one of the best young defensive backs at the Group of Five level.
Over the nine games that he played in this season, Duclona earned 33 total tackles (28 solo), four pass deflections, one sack, one forced fumble, and one interception.
Obviously, there are more than just three players whom Golesh should try to bring with him to Auburn, but these three could be ideal fits for the Tiger program.
Not to mention, Golesh just got done recruiting 29 three-star prospects from the high school level for USF, all of whom could easily flip their commitments from the Bulls to Auburn.
This season, the college football transfer portal window officially opens on Jan. 2, 2026, and players will have 15 days to officially enter their names into the portal. However, because Golesh is leaving USF, the Bulls will also have a 30-day window opened for them to decide to transfer or not.
