If you need a sign that Alex Golesh's Auburn football program has winning habits, look no further than how it responded to upsetting Georgia 27-24 on the road in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry game on Saturday.

Auburn was back in the Woltosz Football Performance Center this past Sunday after making the trip back from Athens to prepare for LSU in Week 8. AU is a massive underdog this Saturday for the SEC clash at Jordan-Hare Stadium, but it's been established that spreads and lines don't faze this locker room.

The goal is bigger than just nabbing the greatest win the program has had since the 2017 season, at least.

This program is thinking much bigger, and making sacrifices to achieve that.

"What Golesh wants now might be harder to achieve than beating the No. 1 team. Building a team that can do it week to week is complicated. Signs have appeared both on and off the field. Auburn players showed up to their football facility on Sunday, the team's off day, to watch film in individual sessions," CBS Sports' Brandon Marcello wrote.

Lane Kiffin tried to shake this Auburn team with a rat poison statement

LSU head coach Lane Kiffin tried to instill some rat poison into the narrative on Monday, claiming that "relief syndrome" is something Auburn will have to contend with this week.

"Relief syndrome is real. That doesn't mean we're going to win this week and they're going to lose, but it's a real challenge," Kiffin said.

The real "relief syndrome" is finally getting clarity on the Xavier Atkins situation. Atkins has been removed from the team after allegedly counterintuitive locker room behavior that is contrary to the mission.

Auburn isn't flinching after beating Georgia. The moment the score went final after Alex McPherson's 34-yard game-winning field goal went through the uprights, the fanbase's collective mentality shifted to what more could be won this fall.

If you can down the Dawgs, no one in the country seems that scary anymore.

Ohio State just lost quarterback Julian Sayin for a major stretch. Notre Dame is clearly fallible. Miami just nearly lost to Ashton Daniels and Florida State. BYU has hardly beaten a murderer's row of opponents.

Irrational CFP thoughts are on the mind in the Loveliest Village on the Plains. Not the Georgia game, still.

Byrum Brown had the kind of game against Georgia at the quarterback position that makes a deep run seem plausible. Beating LSU will have this fanbase making the trip to Oxford, Mississippi, on Halloween, bringing droves to the Grove.

You know this roster would be right back at it this Sunday, getting ready for the Rebels if Auburn got the job done again versus LSU.
