5-star Auburn football commit QB Deuce Knight is a player many Tiger fans are looking to as their great hope for the future, and he’s just given fans, and head coach Hugh Freeze, another reason to rejoice.

The Mississippi native has already made headlines a few times this season, most notably for his recent nine-touchdown game against rival West Harrison. The six-foot-five, 206-lb dual-threat split his total 651 yards well, passing for 538 and seven touchdowns, while gaining another 113 yards and two touchdowns with Cam Newton-like rushing sequences.

Despite missing five games and three quarters due to an injury -- his first game back was the aforementioned matchup against West Harrison -- Knight has still put up an incredible 1700+ passing yards this season with 22 passing touchdowns.

For this nearly unimaginable display of skill, Knight was officially named to the Navy All-American Bowl on November 7, the self-described meeting place for “The best 100 football players in the nation.”

Though Deuce Knight is technically listed as a 4-star QB by 247 Sports, their composite ranking does document him as firmly within the confines of a fifth star. The lefty was committed to Notre Dame for over a year, before shocking the world by flipping his commitment to Auburn on October 2, 2024.

Deuce Knight cannot get to Auburn football fast enough

In light of quarterback troubles at Auburn, and especially since Coach Freeze is still uncertain which quarterback to start ahead of the ULM matchup, Knight looks to be a breath of fresh air for Auburn fans.

He’ll likely move to Auburn after his high school season concludes to get acclimated to his future squad and prepare for the 2025 season.
