It’s been seven days since the college football transfer portal opened, and Auburn football head coach Hugh Freeze has wasted absolutely no time making his presence known. In those seven days, the Tigers have landed 10 transfers, and they’re far from done.

Friday, On3’s Jeffrey Lee placed an RPM for Auburn to land the No. 1 transfer WR in the nation: Georgia Tech’s Eric Singleton Jr.

Lee joins 247Sports’ Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz in this prediction, resulting in 247Sports projecting a 67% chance for the WR to land in Auburn.

The receiver has no other schools he’s predicted to transfer to at this moment.

Singleton, Jr., has posted an impressive 1,468 reception yards and nine receiving touchdowns in two years with the Yellow Jackets, along with another 140 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Auburn’s wide receiver room is already stacked with talent and potential, headlined by former 5-star Cam Coleman and former 4-stars Malcolm Simmons and Perry Thompson.

This would hardly be the Tigers’ first major acquisition since the portal opened, nor would there be any shortage of arms to get the ball to Singleton. Coach Freeze has already picked up Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold and Stanford QB Ashton Daniels who, along with 5-star freshman Deuce Knight, will make up one of the first unique Auburn rooms in history.

Freeze has been cooking in the portal. If Singleton decides to follow these predictions to Auburn, Tiger fans can look on with hope in Freeze to improve off of their abysmal 2024 season.
