Auburn, Hugh Freeze hosting several top commits, targets this weekend against South Alabama

Auburn football and Hugh Freeze will try to take advantage of a second straight home game in Jordan-Hare Stadium to improve to 3-0 with a victory over South Alabama.

The head coach and his staff will also try to use the home game to showcase to some talented recruits visiting the Plains why they should come and play for the Tigers.

Per Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Sports, Freeze's staff will be busy with a plethora of current commits and targets for the Tigers in the 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes.

Current Auburn commits

4-star LB Jaquez Wilkes, Wadley, Ala.

The No. 10 EDGE in the 2026 class, Auburn defensive coordinator DJ Durkin has played a massive role in his recruitment.

4-star OL Wilson Zierer, Rabun Gap, Ga. (Nachoochee)

A 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle who is the younger brother of former Auburn offensive lineman Kilian Zierer.

3-star OL Parker Pritchett, Columbus, Ga. (Carver)

3-star RB Eric Perry, Southaven, Miss. (DeSoto Central)

4-star DB Jaylen Scott, Mobile, Ala. (Williamson)

One of the top safeties in the 2027 class, Scott committed to Auburn on June 9.

Currently committed elsewhere

3-star LB Braylon Outlaw, Pike Road, Ala.

The linebacker from just down I-85 is currently committed to Tennessee.

3-star TE ArMari Towns, Selma, Ala. (Southside) – Committed to Purdue

4-star DL Jamarkus Pittman, Memphis, Tenn. (Mase)

Ranked the No. 2 defensive lineman in the 2027 class by 247Sports, Pittman is committed to Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.

3-star WR BJ Bedgood, Alexander City, Ala. (Benjamin Russell)

From the same school where current Auburn wide receiver Malcolm Simmons hails from, Bedgood visited Purdue and Memphis this summer.

3-star TE Khalid Worthy, Atlanta, Ga. (Holy Innocents)

4-star OL Jatori Williams, Phenix City, Ala. (Central)

At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Williams is ranked as the No. 4 interior offensive lineman in the 2027 class.
