With Auburn playing its first SEC game of the season at Oklahoma this Saturday, Hugh Freeze and the Tigers are required to release an injury report leading up to the game.
The first one of those came on Wednesday night, and for Auburn, the report looks better than it does for the Sooners.
The only player out for Freeze's team is Durell Robinson, who suffered a "freak injury" following the Ball State game, which required surgery on his thigh.
After dislocating his shoulder in the win against South Alabama last Saturday, defensive lineman Amaris Williams is doubtful, as is cornerback Jay Crawford, who was dinged up a little in the same game.
The good news for Auburn is that cornerback Champ Anthony, wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr., cornerback Rayshawn Pleasant and offensive lineman Izavion Miller are all listed as questionable. Anthony made his return to the field in the season-opening win against Baylor after missing the final eight games last season with a knee injury. He proceeded to break his thumb, which required surgery, against the Bears.
Singleton caught six passes for 65 yards in the win against the Jaguars before going out with a hip pointer.
Auburn will get back starting running back Damari Alston after he had missed the previous two games. The back suffered a shoulder injury in the season-opening win against Baylor, but Freeze said he would have been able to play last Saturday if needed. Alston and wide receiver Malcolm Simmons Jr. are listed as probable.
Auburn travels to Norman, Okla., for the first time to take on the Sooners in an early SEC showdown on Saturday. The Sooners lead the series 3-0, with the last meeting coming last season in Jordan-Hare Stadium when a late pick-six cost the Tigers a chance at the victory.
