Hugh Freeze's squad is coming off yet another frustrating and controversial loss, a 20-10 defeat to No. 10 Georgia in which the Tigers took a 10-0 lead and seemed to go up 17 points right before halftime on a Jackson Arnold quarterback sneak. Despite replays showing the ball had crossed the goal line still in the Auburn quarterback's possession, SEC officials ruled that he had fumbled, giving the ball to Georgia.
It was the final time that the Tigers would threaten to score, as the Bulldogs scored 20 straight points to walk out of Jordan-Hare with a victory.
The game was a tale of two halves: Auburn completely dominated the first 28 minutes, putting up 228 yards of offense while holding the Bulldogs' offense in check. The Tigers put up just 49 total yards in the second half as Georgia continued to make life difficult for Arnold and company.
Missouri came up short in its game on Saturday, a 27-24 loss to Alabama, to drop its first game of the season.
The oddsmakers are expecting a low-scoring game between the two, with the over/under opening at 44.5.
