Auburn’s running back room just got even better.
On Monday, 4-star running back Kingston Miles committed to Alex Golesh and the Tigers, becoming the second running back in the 2027 class, joining fellow 4-star Myson Johnson-Cook, giving Auburn two of the top 16 backs in the class.
Miles decision came after taking a visit to the Plains this weekend, which apparently left him impressed.

“The people and culture are amazing,” Miles said. “I have great relationships with the staff and coaches. It’s a great environment, great atmosphere and great people. Everything is great at Auburn. It’s like home away from home for real.”
Out of St. Mary’s HS in St. Louis, Mo., Miles ran for 2,098 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior in 2025, while catching 12 passes for 236 yards and one score. The 6-foot, 205-pound back also played on defense, recording 62 tackles, 10 TFL, one sack, and one fumble recovery.
It might have been Miles building a relationship with new Auburn running back coach Larry Porter that helped him make his ultimate decision.
“Coach Porter is a great guy … a great guy,” he said. “I have a great relationship with him.”
Another great RB duo on the way for Auburn?
While it’s way too early to compare the two to the duo of Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown, Golesh’s ability to land two of the top backs in the 2027 signing class should not go unnoticed. The Tigers will rely on two veterans – Jeremiah Cobb and Bryson Washington – at running back this season, giving Miles and Johnson-Cook a chance to compete immediately this coming spring.
It is Auburn’s 12th commit in the class, and third in two days, joining 3-star cornerback Nash Johnson and 3-star placekicker Noah Ash. Miles’ commitment moves the Tigers up to 25th in 247Sports’ rankings of the 2027 classes.
