The Auburn Tigers kicked off their season in style with a big win over the Baylor Bears in Waco, Texas, last weekend. The Tigers dominated the game through the run, and hit the road back home with a statement win under their belts.
Auburn's home opener will take place at 6:30 p.m. under the lights in Jordan-Hare Stadium against the Ball State Cardinals. Winning the game will obviously be the coaching staff's top priority, but the Tigers are also slated to host a big group of recruits on campus this weekend.
One of those visitors is 4-star cornerback Lasiah Jackson. From Leesburg, Georgia, Jackson has been committed to the Stanford Cardinal since July. He is ranked as the No. 105 overall recruit and the No. 13 cornerback in the recruiting class of 2026 and he is the No. 13 player out of the Peach State. Though the Tigers were not a finalist in Jackson's recruitment prior to his decision day, they have become a real contender ahead of signing day and hope to impact him on his campus visit this weekend.
Flipping Jackson would be a big deal for the Tigers, especially after losing edge rusher Hezekiah Harris to a flip to Tennessee earlier this month. Now Auburn is back down to 12 commits with a class ranking of No. 51 in the nation.
Though he has committed to Stanford, Jackson has made it clear that his recruitment isn't entirely shut down and the Tigers still have a chance to sway his decision before pen meets paper.
