In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, a 4-star edge sets an official visit to the Plains. In addition, Bruce Pearl comments on Chris Moore's contributions

One of the top edge rushers in the country has set an official visit with the Auburn football program. 4-star Trenton Henderson will make his way to the Plains on May 16 to officially check out the Tigers.

From Pensacola, Florida, Henderson attends Pensacola Catholic and is ranked as the No. 8 edge in the recruiting class of 2026 and the No. 11 recruit out of the Sunshine State. He has racked up over 30 offers from programs around the country and, in addition to Auburn, will officially visit Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Florida this summer.

Henderson was just on Auburn's campus last month for Junior Day, and the Tigers are in a good spot with the edge, but he is being pursued hard by Florida and Alabama.

Bruce Pearl comments on Chris Moore's contributions

The Auburn basketball roster runs deep, and it is the kind of team where the talent does not drop off when bench players check into the game. While the big stat numbers put up by guys like Johni Broome and Chad Baker-Mazara are exciting, the defensive contributions of guys like Dylan Cardwell and Chris Moore are just as valuable.

In the Tigers' midweek win over Oklahoma, Moore scored a season-high six points and was a key contributor in the victory. For head coach Bruce Pearl, Moore is huge part of this year's No. 1 team.

“Chris, he brings a toughness, he brings experience,” said Pearl, per Auburn Rivals. “With Chris offensively, less is more. He’s not trying to shoot he ball unless he’s open. But he’s going to climb on those offensive boards, he will get back defensively and he’s just the kind of guy that everybody roots for.”

The Tigers return to action tomorrow afternoon against the Florida Gators in Neville Arena.
