In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, Miles Kelly talks about his 30-point game over Kentucky. In addition, Dylan Cardwell is the winningest player in program history

The Auburn basketball team broke a decades-long losing streak in Rupp Arena over the weekend with a 94-78 victory over the Kentucky Wildcatsand senior guard Miles Kelly was a big reason for the win.

Kelly dropped 30 points on the Wildcats, leading the Tigers in scoring and making a whopping nine three-pointers in the game.

"I mean, I just came out feeling it," Kelly said, per Auburn Rivals. "The first possession down, they went to me, and I knocked the shot down. After that, I was feeling it from there. Rupp rims, I love them. It felt good. Every time I shot the ball, I thought it was going in. My teammates did a great job of finding me."

Dylan Cardwell is the winningest player in program history

With Auburn's win over Kentucky, senior center Dylan Cardwell was part of his 115th win as a Tiger and surpassed Jaylin Williams as the winningest player in program history.

“I don’t know if and when that ever gets broken,” AU coach Bruce Pearl said, per Auburn Rivals. “That could become a record that doesn’t get broken. We didn’t think Jaylin Williams would last time.

“I just don’t know that I could be happier for anybody more than Jaylin Williams who could have left every time we brought in somebody like a Jabari Smith and just competed. And Dylan Cardwell, we’ve talked about it before.”

Cardwell is in his fifth year with the program and has appeared in 157 games for Auburn basketball. He and the team will return to action Tuesday against Texas A&M on the road before finishing the regular season with an IBOB rematch on the Plains.
